1 year in online

Written on Oct 30, 2009, by Adrian Mihaltianu

I was thinking, the other day, that this autumn I’m a year old in the agency. Maybe is not much, you have spent years in the online industry, me, just one. But is this enough to form an opinion?  I went from consultant to PR, I saw how people appreciate or disapprove campaigns, how brands have realized that the online is a starting point to the future.

What do I like? Referring strictly to you, the everyday online people, you are bold.  That you have cool projects. And that Romanian projects were awarded abroad.  It means that we have potential; we just have to get out of the shell.  We should take advantage of the fact that online news travels faster than the offline news. I like that you’re not thinking only about you, but you are organizing workshops and conferences to explain to others too what it’s all about with this online stuff.

What I don’t like? That you, those who have online businesses do not believe enough in its power. We brought with us from offline, the bad habit to criticize a project in it’s early stage; we don’t give it credit or support it. We don’t use our brain to think that it’s someone’s dream and investment. We like to criticize, copy/paste, to make money fast but out of nothing. Without work, without writing every day, without documenting our work, but just by stealing from others (photos, articles), because that is more comfortable.

What I wish for me? In one year, I want to write another post with the title: 2 years of online MB Dragan.

What I wish for you all? I hope you find a cool team, that makes cool things. And grow together.

Happy B-day to me!
