Musicnonstop.ro is an e-commerce platform that can be accessed through a PC or a mobile phone in order to legally download the favorite songs in MP3 format. The MP3 files are coded at 192kbps, therefore having a very good sound quality.

Users can browse through the hundreds of music albums on musicnonstop.ro and listen to 30 seconds fragments of each piece. Users can also fill their cart with the favorite songs or albums, and after registering they can buy their music in a very straightforward and secure way, through the Mobilpay system.

The solution

Leading mobile phones producer Nokia partnered with Roton, the most important Romanian music producer, in order to create a modern and flexible entertainment platform for the Romanian public and Nokia customers.

Roton came to us and they put it simple: they wanted a music store that’s fresh and vibrant, with one main functionality: to legally sell music.

So our solution was designed with the music buyer in mind from the very first line of code: We delivered a beautiful website, sleek and easy to use, for music buyers to enjoy. The fact that the website was accepted from the very first iteration by our client pretty much tells the story.

MusicNonStop.ro provides an easy to use browsing interface. Users can browse through artists and albums, read the artists’ biographies, browse by music genres, listen to their favorite tracks’ previews and instantly add them to the shopping cart. We tried to make the process as easier as possible for a pleasant user experience.
Great tracks or artists can also be found by using the search form, implemented using a standalone search engine, providing fast and accurate results. Reaching the checkout phase, the user has the option to pay by card or by SMS. This service is implemented with the help of MobilPay.

The owners of a new Nokia phone have also the possibility to download some tracks for free from our music shop as a gift from their phone manufacturer. It’s a major boost for legal music sales, and Nokia clients are really enjoying their gifts.

The website was developed from scratch by Kolea (Web Developer) and Ovidiu (Senior Web Developer). They created a simple to use user system (login, sign-up, lost password, etc), the advanced back-end functions (synchronizing, preview generating etc) and have implemented the epayment system, to be followed by a SMS system.
The back-end also has some interesting geeky processes like track preview generators, artist biographies converters and database synching.

It’s the end result of a very good cooperation between MB Dragan as an interactive agency and Roton as a music provider.
